Darren Beilstein, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT
Dr. Beilstein earned his physical therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1992. Several years later, Darren became a certified manual therapist (MTC) through the University of St. Augustine and shortly thereafter became a certified orthopedic clinical specialist (OCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists. In 2003, Darren traveled to Brisbane, Australia for a year where he studied at the University of Queensland’s renowned physiotherapy school. Dr. Beilstein graduated as the top student from the masters of physiotherapy (manipulation) course work program. He continued his physical therapy quest for knowledge at the University of St. Augustine, where he became a doctor of physical therapy (DPT) in 2005.
Dr. Beilstein is certified in myofascial trigger point dry needling through MyoPain Seminars’ Janet G. Travell, MD Seminar SeriesSM, KinetaCore and through the American Dry Needling Institute. He teaches dry needling as an associate instructor with KinetaCore throughout the United States.
Dr. Beilstein specializes in the treatment of headaches, neck pain, whiplash, myofascial, low back and sacroiliac joint pain, but is well versed in treating all orthopedic and sports related injuries.
Brittney Kortz, DPT
Dr. Brittney Kortz has been a member of the PT Now team since 2015. She earned her Bachelor of Exercise Science Degree in 2010 and Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Old Dominion University in 2015. Dr. Kortz provides individualized, patient-centered care to include manual techniques and therapeutic exercise in order to improve their function with daily or recreational activities. She has received further training through the Great Lakes Seminars and plans to pursue a certification in manual therapy. In her free time, Brittney is an avid Crossfit competitor. She qualified and participated in the MidAtlantic Crossfit Regional competition as a team in 2012, 2013, 2016, and as an individual athlete in 2014. She is a Crossfit Level 1 certified trainer and coach at Crossfit Oyster Point. Brittney holds a Direct Access certification and is able to evaluate and treat patients without a prescription.
